Rules & Regulations

Our primary goal is to make Campland on the Bay a happy, safe and relaxed place in which to vacation. The rules and regulations are for the benefit of all campers and guests. If a particular camper is unable or unwilling to comply with these rules and regulations, they will need to leave the park immediately.

Hospitality Rangers

Our Rangers are available to assist you 24 hours a day.  If you need assistance please feel free to stop a Ranger as they patrol or call them at 858-581-4219, or pickup any House Phone located at the A, D, G, M, and N bathrooms.

Checking In or Out

Check-out time is 12:00 NOON
Check-in time is 2:00 PM

WANT A LATE CHECK-OUT?  Please ask at the Registration Desk on the morning of your departure. We can grant late check-outs based on availability only, during winter months.
SORRY, NO LATE CHECK OUTS IN THE SUMMER SEASON.

Cancellation Policy

Off-season (non-holiday): 24-hour notice required. Refund less $25.00 cancellation fee.

Summer (non-holiday): 48-hour notice required. Refund less the $25 cancellation fee.

Holiday: 72-hour notice required. Refund less the cancellation fee.

Can’t keep your reservation but do not want to cancel? You may change your arrival date for a future date without penalty providing you call the reservations office and confirm new dates (800-422-9386) during business hours (8 am to 4:30 pm 7 days/wk)

PAYMENT POLICY

Payment in full is required for all on-line booked reservations. Daily/Weekly guests must pay in full either at the time the reservations is booked, Monthly Guests: $200 deposit up front is required ($225 required if the site number is guaranteed) and additional $300 deposit is paid upon arrival.

You will receive an email confirmation upon receipt of payment.

Guests can make reservations 2 years in advance as long as the one-year out reservation is paid in full or has the monthly deposit paid.

Wildlife

PLEASE DO NOT FEED DUCKS, STRAY CATS OR WILDLIFE. Wildlife is protected at Campland on the Bay. Campland on the Bay borders the Kendall Frost Wildlife Preserve. The animals may be admired but not handled. It is a felony to harm, harass or disturb wildlife, and is subject to a $20,000.00 fine and/or imprisonment.(SEC. 597 CA STATE PENAL CODE)

WE MUST INSIST THAT YOU DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS!!!!MOTHER NATURE HAS PREPARED A SPECIAL DIET FOR THEM

Miscellaneous

TENTS are not allowed on the beach, or staked on the asphalt. NO TENTS ON GRASS AREAS! Sprinklers will come on during the night at all grass areas. Please secure your belongings and pitch your tent in designated areas so they won’t get wet. Tents or ropes, of any kind, are not allowed to be tied to structures or trees. No clotheslines of any kind are allowed for safety reasons. There is a maximum of 4 pup tents, or 2 medium, or 1 large tent per campsite. Large tents are subject to approval of management. No tents on a long term basis.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR SITE CLEAN, Mechanical or other repairs are not allowed on your campsite. Utility or storage sheds are not allowed on campsites. Clotheslines are not permitted at campsites.

LONG TERM STAY(off season only) is 31 or more consecutive days. The maximum number of nights anyone can stay is 270 in a calendar year/season. Long term stays cannot exceed 90 consecutive days. On or before the 90th day of stay guests must vacate the park completely for 24 hours before returning. Monthly status will not be granted to those whose primary mode of camping is a tent. Long term campers who wish to apply for the discounted rates must present copies of current Proof of Insurance Card, current Registration for the RV and all driving vehicles (max 2) and copy of valid drivers lic. Upon check-in. Delay in providing requested documents will result to rates reverted back to daily or weekly non prorated rate. Site inspection will also be a factor to determine long term stay eligibility. Rates based on 2 persons. Maximum of 4 persons ONLY allowed at a monthly discounted rate. Dogs are limited to a max of 2 (see dog rules/restrictions).

QUIET HOURS are from 11:00 PM TO 8:00 AM. Please remember to turn off all outside TVs and radios and lower voices to a whisper at 11:00 PM to allow your neighbors a good night’s rest.

Winter Hours: All public parks close at 10 PM and reopen at 8 AM.

If you are under the age of 18, please return to your campsite by 10:00 pm. Please, no generators between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.  At management’s discretion, music between 8 AM and 11 PM must be at a volume as not to disturb other guests.  Music language must be clean and radio friendly.

Summer Hours: Central & Amphitheatre Parks are open until 11 PM; Huff n’ Puff Park closes at 10 PM. Generators have to be turned off by 10 PM. If you are under the age of 18, please return to your campsite at 11 PM– when quiet hours begin.

BEACH AREA: Please enjoy our beach, but always remember; no pets, glass, or motorized vehicles on the beach.  Refueling and gas containers are not allowed on the beach. All canopies and personal property must be removed from the beach at by 8 PM and not set up until 8 AM. The beach closes at 11 PM.

WASHING OF VEHICLES AND BOATS in the Park is NOT permitted at your campsite, on any grass area, or on the pavement; with the exception of our official detailing/washing vendors. You may use the Marina ONLY – RINSE ONLY, NO SOAP.

FIRES are permitted in fire rings only. Dispose of hot charcoal briquettes in fire rings or Hot Coal Containers. Do not use the trash containers. Warn your children of the dangers of playing on or around the fire rings. Stacking of pallets for bon-fires is prohibited. The maximum height of flames are 12 inches above the fire ring.

FIREWORKS or firearms, of any kind, are not permitted at Campland on the Bay.

SKATEBOARD, ROLLERBLADE AND SKATE POLICY: Riding of skateboards, rollerblades or skates is discouraged and can only take place at the rider’s sole risk and responsibility. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children and under age guests. They can be ridden on asphalt roads ONLY, not in buildings nor on sidewalks, walkways, curbs and only in a safe and responsible manner (i.e. no “TRICKS” against curbs, railing, etc.). When riding in streets, particular care should be given to motor vehicles. Exhibitionist maneuvers, tricks and other techniques that endanger the rider or others are prohibited. Courtesy and awareness of others and your surroundings is required at all times. Riders that do not comply with this policy may have their bike, boards or skates confiscated until their check-out from the property, or be evicted without refund of site rental fees. Campland on the Bay recommends that all participants wear standard protective gear such as helmets, wrist pads and knee pads. Any kind of night time riding or skating requires a forward projecting light. This means anything with wheels. GAS POWERED skateboards, go-peds, or anything gas powered of this kind, are not allowed in the park. Only street legal motorcycles and scooters are allowed with a valid drivers license. California State Safety Regulation requires riders to be at least 16 years of age or older WITH a Valid Driver’s License, and must wear a helmet at all times during riding. This policy, as well as others, is subject to change at any time.

ALL RV’s, INCLUDING THEIR SLIDE-OUTS, must be parked at least 6 feet from any other RV.

ONLY ONE SLEEPING VEHICLE allowed per campsite. Example: only 1 RV/Motor Home, Trailer, 5th Wheel, Tent Trailer, Truck Camper, Van conversion or any vehicle designed/approved for camping with beds. Campland on the Bay requires the use of a sleeping vehicle or tent. Passenger cars may not be used as the sleeping vehicle.

TRUCK CAMPERS & SHELLS may not be removed from their vehicles.

SEWER CONNECTIONS: All fittings and connections must be AIR-TIGHT to meet city health code.

ALL VEHICLES & TRAILERS in the Park must have a valid Vehicle Pass. Any gas powered vehicle other than golf carts must be street legal. Any and all Golf Carts must be QUIET, operated by a licensed driver, and have proper identification tag affixed (NO RHINOS, POLARIS RANGER OR ANY ATV TYPE VEHICLES ALLOWED!) All boat trailers must be parked either on your campsite or in a designated area with the proper identification tag affixed. Please do not block or occupy sites other than the one you rented. If you have parking problems contact a Park Ranger or the Registration Office. Vehicles parked in unauthorized areas or sites will be towed at owner’s expense.

THE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT IN THE PARK IS 5 M.P.H for any vehicle with wheels, including bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, golf carts and scooters. Please be extremely cautious driving anywhere in the park. There are skaters, bicyclists, walkers and runners in both the daylight and evening hours. Drive conscientiously. Lights are required for ALL Powered vehicles operated after dark.

DOGS are not allowed on the Beach, in the Cafe, Game Room, Restrooms, Laundry, Market or any Grassy Area. Please use the designated Dog Walk Areas! Dog Owners must clean up any mess their pet makes. Dogs must be leashed at all times. Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet. Dogs must not be left unattended outside of an RV or tent; any dog left unattended will be impounded. The maximum number of dogs per campsite for a Daily/Weekly Guest is three (3). For Long-Term guests, maximum number of dogs allowed is two (2). If your dog causes a disturbance you may be asked to leave the park. NO PITTBULL types or mixes, this includes AMERICAN BULLDOGS, AMERICAN BULL TERRIERS, AMERICAN STAFFORDSHIRE TERRIERS, STAFFORSHIRE BULL TERRIERS, ARGENTINE DOGO/MASTIFF and NO ROTTWIELLERS OR OTHER DOGS WITH AGGRESSIVE OR UNCONTROLLABLE BEHAVIOR!

CHILDREN must be supervised at all times. Parents are responsible for their children’s safe conduct and any injuries or damage they may incur or cause. Unsupervised children who cause disruption for other guests may be asked to leave the park with their entire group.

POOL HOURS & RULES: NO Lifeguard on Duty! Pool hours 9:00 am to 10:45 pm. Adults Only 9:00 pm to 10:45 pm, Children 9 am to 9 pm. Children 14 years & younger are not allowed unattended in the POOL AREA at any time. No one under 14 years of age is allowed in the Jacuzzi unsupervised for more than 10 minutes, No Toddlers in the Jacuzzi at any time. NO GLASS ALLOWED. No Wheeled vehicles/toys (except for strollers and wheelchairs).

CAMPERS’ VISITORS (Subject to availability) will be charged a day use fee at the discretion of management . Visitor’s vehicles will be charged a $20.00 parking fee during the summer and holiday periods. Overnight Guests will be charged a fee (max. 8 people per site).

Visitors are only allowed from 8am to 10pm.  Visitors are the responsibility of registered guest(s).  All visitors must vacate the property by 10:00 PM or register at the front desk by 8 P.M. for overnight camping.

LOCK YOUR VALUABLES Unattended bicycles should be locked at all times.  Coolers, refrigerators, etc, containing alcoholic beverages should be supervised by an adult or locked.  Protect your valuables.  Lock unattended camping equipment in your vehicle whenever possible.
