Questions About Reservations and our Policies
Check-in time is 2 p.m. Check-out is noon.
Yes – we allow tent camping. Tents are welcome at Campland on the Bay.
Pets are allowed with some restrictions. Pets must be leashed at all times.
PETS are not allowed on the beach or in any building. Please use the designated Dog Walk Areas. Pet owners must pick up after their pets in all areas of the Park. You must be able to control your dog at all times. Dogs must be leashed at all times (except in Dog Wood Park). Leashes must be kept no longer than 6 feet, including retractable ones. Pets cannot be left unattended outside of an RV or tent. Any pet left unattended may be impounded. The maximum number of pets per campsite for a Daily/Weekly guest is three (3). For Long-Term guests, the maximum number of pets allowed is two (2). If your pet causes a disturbance anywhere in the Park, your pet may be required to leave the Park.
PIT BULLS, BULLY BREEDS/MIX, ROTTWEILER BREEDS/MIX OR OTHER DOGS THAT MANAGEMENT CONSIDERS AGGRESSIVE OR UNCONTROLLABLE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN THE PARK.
Campland on the Bay’s Cancellation Policy for Reservations:
If a reservation is cancelled at least 72 hours before the reservation arrival date, the camper will receive a full refund of what has been paid by the camper less a $30 cancellation fee.
If a reservation is cancelled within 72 hours of the reservation arrival date, the camper will be charged for the first night of the reservation. *Notwithstanding the foregoing, if a reservation is made at least 72 hours before the reservation arrival date, then it can be cancelled up to 24 hours after the booking is made with a full refund of what has been paid by the camper and without any cancellation fees
Yes – we offer group rates ( excluding holidays and holiday weekends) from September through June.
Yes – we offer discounts for
- San Diego City Residents get a 20% discount.
- Active Military members (active Military ID required)
- Good Sam Members (must show proof of membership)
- AAA members (must show valid AAA card)
- Seniors age 65+ (mush show ID)
Proof is required at check-in. All discounts are applied at check-in.
Yes – we offer sites with full hook-ups. Here is our hook-up information:
- Side by side hook-ups
- Full Hookups (411 sites)
- Dry/No Hook-ups (18 sites)
- Water and Electric only (150 sites)
We do offer some pull-thru sites.
We have 26 pull-thru sites: K01 thru K20 (40-42 feet max)
And 6 in H section: H02, H03, H10, H12, H14, H16 (33-43 ft max)
Yes – you can reserve a specific site. There is an extra charge and reservations must be made via the phone. Call 858-581-4200 for site specific reservations. Other reservations can be made online.
Our rates are based on length of stay, site size, site amenities, and location within the resort. For stays of less than 31 days, you can reserve online. Reservations can be made up to two years in advance.

Questions About Amenities, Activities, etc.
Campland offers rental boats to all site visitors, plus boat rentals to the public. Visit our Marina page to reserve a waverunner, waterski boat, or pontoon boat. We also offer kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and pedal boats.

Campland on the Bay has free, “limited” wireless Internet access available to all campers during their stay. It is great for checking email or light web surfing.
Yes – we have a large laundromat on site. You can download an app prior to your arrival so no quarters are needed. Download CSCPay app on your mobile phone or tablet.
Yes – we offer one heated pools and two heated hot tubs. The second pool is left as the “cool pool” neither warm nor cold) for water aerobics, etc. Campland is full of amenities.
Yes – Campland has a marina on site and a boat ramp. We do offer guest slips which can be reserved through our reservations department at 858-581-4200. You can bring your own jet ski, however, we do not allow outside jet ski/wave runner rentals into the resort. We have wave runner rentals on site through Action Watersports. We rent pontoon boats at the marina. Click here to learn more about our watersports.
