- The Supersite is a secluded, enclosed paradise, with hot tub, outdoor kitchen and grill, restroom, shower, washer & dryer, firepit, sun loungers, and dining tables. Enjoy stunning views of Mission Bay and the Kendall Frost Wildlife sanctuary.
When making a reservation, please state the actual size of your RV, trailer or tent so it fits nicely in the site reserved.

From full hook-ups to our fully-loaded SuperSite, we have a variety of sites to suit your needs. Our campsites come in various sizes to accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Voted “One of the Top Ten Urban Campgrounds” by USA Today, campers love staying at Campland on the Bay for its beachfront location, welcoming staff, robust amenities, activities, and live entertainment.

Pop-up tent trailers are allowed as well as tent camping.
Campland is an ideal place for camping groups. We offer special rates for large groups.
PLEASE NOTE: Campland on the Bay does not accommodate bus, school bus, ambulance, or box truck conversions.

Please note our restrictions on certain breeds and a maximum of two dogs per site.
Boats Are Welcome
If you own a boat, Campland is awaiting your arrival. Our marina offers boat slips available for rent, and guest slips available for our campers. We also accommodate on-site RV and boat storage. Learn more about RV and boat storage.

Campsite Descriptions by Type
Beach Front – Full Hookup (water/electric/sewer). Closest sites to the beach along Wildlife Friendly Lane. Have fire pits with grill top and picnic tables.
Bay View – Full Hookup (water/electric/sewer). These sites back up to a nice view of Mission Bay overlooking the Kendall Frost Wildlife Sanctuary. No beach access. Located in sections I, G, H, F and E. Most sites have firepits except for I section which has grass. All sites have a picnic table.
Distinguished – Full Hookup (water/electric/sewer). This site type is located in different sections of the park, such as F and H (near Dog Wood park, a leash free dog park), J row (sites 2-14) located up against Central Park, K row (sites 2-10), all are asphalt pull-thrus, and O section sites 1,2 and 3.
Preferred – Full Hookups (water/electric/sewer). These sites are located in various areas throughout the park. B & G sections are near pool/spa, I section is centrally located, J and K sections near Central Park, Q row backs up to Rose Creek and last row of O section. All sites come with picnic tables. Most sites have fire pits with the exception of I, K, Q and back of O.
Select – Full Hookups (water/electric/sewer). Close to the water, these sites are located from 2 to 10 sites from the beach in sections L, M, N, and O. All sites come with picnic tables and fire pit.
Supersite – One of a kind site along the Kendall Wildlife Preserve. This is your own private oasis with gated site. Supersite has private jacuzzi, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, laundry, bathroom & shower and large lounging area. Full Hookup (water/electric/sewer). (This site books up quickly so you may have to book when it is available).
Standard East – Full Hookups (water/elecric/sewer). These are the least expensive of our full hookup sites. They are located on the East (Standard Sections L, M, N and O) side of our park. Sites have firepits. Standard East sites are anywhere from 11 to 20 sites away from our beach.
Standard West – Full Hookups (water/elecric/sewer). These are the least expensive of our full hookup sites. They are located on the West side of our park (Standard Sections E & F). Sites have firepit and picnic table.
Limited – Partial hook up sites (water, electric) only. No sewer hookups. Perfect for tent camping or RV’s that don’t need sewer hookup. Close to pool/spa and Huff & Puff Park (playground) Some sites are shaded. All sites have fire pits. Some, but not all, have a grassy area nearby. Dump stations available nearby in Section A and Section F.
Dry – Non-hookups sites. These sites are all asphalt, located in I section 30 to 38. Each site has a picnic table but NO fire pit. Easy access to the beach and marina.
Marina Dry – Non-hookups sites. Located directly across from boat launch and marina with close access to the beach. These sites are all asphalt, located in I section 39 to 47. Each site has a picnic table but NO fire pit.
Tent only-Primitive – Tent Only, Non-hookups sites. These sites are small 25’ sites with no grass or shade. Only 1 tent, 1 car, 1 dog & 4 persons max per site allowed. Sites include picnic table and fire-pit. Perfect for tent campers on a budget. Open in Summer Season ONLY. This is a very sunny area with no shade from trees.
RV Rentals
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to try staying in an RV? Want to experience Campland but don’t own an RV? You’re in luck! You can rent an RV or travel trailer from a local rental partner. Below is a list of local rental companies. Most companies will deliver a clean and sanitized RV, travel trailer, or motorhome to your reserved site – including taking care of the hook-ups – prior to your arrival. They will also pick up the RV from your site at the end of your stay. Please note: Campland on the Bay does not rent RVs on-site and has no affiliation with or responsibility for the RV rental companies or their RVs.
We love tent campers, so if you have a tent, please consider that.

It is important to know the size and length of the RV, travel trailer, or motorhome you are planning to rent when you make the campsite reservation. In the summer, Campland has very high occupancy and you must have a campsite reserved in order for the RV or travel trailer to be used at our resort.
**We regret to inform our valued guests that Campland on the Bay is not accepting delivery of any trailers or motorhomes from Trailer Time Rentals to our resort. Campland will, however, continue to accept Travel Time Rentals, a trusted local RV rental company. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.**
